HYCL (How You Can Lead) Consulting is a leadership development and consulting firm providing solutions to the leadership problems faced by organisations, leaders and aspiring leaders. Through our framework to develop effective leaders, we help organisations bring the best out of their people and in this way lead change that is sustainable.

Our services include Leadership Learning, comprising programmes that build leadership capacity and the qualities required for effective leadership; Leadership Consulting for solutions to specific leadership challenges, and Leadership Bridge through which we deliver leadership solutions to clientele who may not be able to access these services directly.

We serve clients across a wide range of sectors including industry, financial services, technology services and the public sector.

Fusi Akinkugbe

Our Lead Consultant

Fusi is passionate about leadership and about helping people become effective leaders.

Qualified as a Chartered Accountant in the UK and Nigeria, he started his career in accounting practice at the former Coopers and Lybrand (now part of PriceWaterhouseCoopers). He has worked in the corporate sector as Treasury Controller at DHL International Nigeria and later as CEO of a technology services company founded by Accenture and other institutional investors. He has spent many years running his own professional services firms, firstly in accounting practice and later in training and consulting.

Over the years, his clients have ranged from a subsidiary of the national oil company to State and Federal government agencies and corporate organisations across various sectors.

His services have extended to international capacity building in which his company has organised international programmes in the UK and the USA for four separate delegations from leading agencies of the Lagos State Government. He has been a guest facilitator in Finance at the Lagos Business School and a speaker at professional events.

Fusi is the host of the leadership podcast: Lessons in Leadership. He is a member of the Board of Governors of Atlantic Hall School, and a member of the Board of Directors of MFF Housing Ltd., an organisation focused on providing affordable housing. He is involved in giving back to society and is currently the Vice-Chairman of the executive council of the Federal Nigeria Society for the Blind.
